As time goes on the original title for this blog has changed. Still greatly influenced by my Dak'Art trip to attend the Dak'Art Biennial 2006, I continue my practice with the strength the journey gave me.

I make artworks, using painting, drawing, mixed media and multi media installation. My work draws on my personal experience as a black woman of mixed-race, and confronts issues of race, culture and identity. I work in community arts with all age groups. My recent studio practice has turned towards environmental issues and uses recycled materials for this purpose.

End of good year

It's been a great year with lots of interesting projects to keep my creative juices flowing.  The completion of the Picture This moving image work and the subsequent exhibitions 'Three' and 'Voices' lead me to seek new opportunities for showing the work in the new year.
